VERNIUM CLEAN 1210

VERNIUM CLEAN 1210

Dyeing Auxiliaries

Improves the quality and reproducibility of virtually every textile wet process. Washing-off agent for reactive dyeing and prints on cellulosic fibres and their blends.

Characteristics

  • Highly efficient dispersant for insoluble and sparingly soluble calcium salts, pectins and other impurities such as cotton linters.
  • No de-metalizing effect on dyestuff; improves penetration and distribution of the dye liquor.
  • Eliminates problems from re-deposition of calcium silicate and other crystalline impurities onto yarn or fabric.
  • Inhibits formation of insoluble derivatives of vat dyestuff.
  • Good dispersing properties with reactive and direct dyes; promotes solubility of hydrolysed reactive dyes.
  • Improves dispersion in reduction clearing baths; a dispersing agent and protective colloid in silk de-gumming.
  • Bio-eliminable and phosphate free.

Benefits

  • Prevents build-up on machine surfaces and fibre being processed; improves liquor stability.
  • Improved levelling and reproducibility.
  • Improved handle and subsequent winding or sewing properties.
  • Improved dyeability, higher colour yield and enhanced rubbing fastness.
  • Savings in time, energy, water consumption and effluent charges when washing off reactive dyes.
  • Prevents re-deposition of degraded dyestuff; not toxic or harmful to aquatic organisms.

Specifications

  • Chemical constitution: Sodium salt of a polyacrylic acid
  • Ionic nature: Anionic
  • Physical form: Brown to pale liquid
  • pH: About 7.5
  • Specific gravity at 20°C: About 1.3
  • General stability: Stable to hard water, pH 4–12.
  • Storage stability: Stable for more than one year at 20°C in closed containers; do not store above 40°C. Freezes at −5°C but recovers fully on warming.

Applications

Typical usage range: 0.3–2 g/l.

Dyeing: Effectively sequesters alkaline earth metal salts in hard water without removing metal ions present in some dyes. Typical range: 0.5–2 g/l, added to the treatment liquor first before other auxiliaries.

Washing off reactive dyes: Promotes solubility of hydrolysed colour and prevents re-deposition onto fabric or yarn. Add to the first hot wash. Typical range: 1–2 g/l.

Packing

This product is supplied in HDPE drums of 50 kg and 200 kg net.

Storage and Handling
