Scouring & Wetting Agent

VERNIUM SCOUR 2280 is a specially designed crypto anionic surfactant useful for the scouring of grey fabrics. It has very high wetting, lubricating, stabilizing and dispersing power and hence prevents re-deposition of removed soil and fats.

  • It is a crypto anionic surfactant.
  • Due to presence of anionic surfactants and high cloud point, it has excellent temperature stability.
  • Due to presence of non-ionic surfactants, it has excellent hard water tolerance.
  • Due to synergetic effect of non-ionic and anionic surfactants, it is very effective and efficient in wetting and scouring process.

1. Cotton Processing

De-sizing
0.5–1.5 gpl of VERNIUM SCOUR 2280 is recommended in enzyme bath for thorough size removal.

Kier Boiling
Addition of 0.5–2.0 gpl of VERNIUM SCOUR 2280 in Kier Boiling accelerates the process, removes and prevents re-deposition of the impurities.

Continuous Boiling
0.5–2 gpl of VERNIUM SCOUR 2280 in alkali saturated helps fast and even uptake of liquor.

Bleaching
0.5–2 gpl of VERNIUM SCOUR 2280 is recommended in bleaching process for uniform and better bleaching in leisure time.

Soaping
For reactive dyes: 0.5–2 gpl of VERNIUM SCOUR 2280 at 80°C for 30 minutes.

2. Scouring of Polyester and Polyamide

Recommended recipe: VERNIUM SCOUR 2280 0.5 gpl, Caustic Soda Flakes 0.5 gpl, at 80°C–85°C for 30 minutes.

Packing

This product is supplied in HDPE drums of 50 kg and 200 kg net.

Storage and Handling

It is recommended to use personal protective equipment like safety glasses, face shield and protective hand gloves. Any splash in the eyes or on the skin must be washed by plenty of running water.
