VERNIUM POLY 4460

VERNIUM POLY 4460

Dyeing Auxiliaries — Levelling Agent

For dyeing polyester fibres and polyester/cellulose blends at all stages of processing in HT processes on jets and circulating liquor machines; dyeing of yarn and pieces for automotive textiles (with UV-FAST APS or UV-FAST HLF as light-fastness improver); one-bath-two-step dyeing of polyester/cellulose blends; HT rapid dyeing; and dyeing of polyester fibres at high density.

Characteristics

  • Unequalled spectrum of effects — dispersing, levelling and migration.
  • Excellent dispersing properties.
  • Outstanding levelling properties.
  • Good migration properties.
  • Increased dye yield.

Benefits

  • Easy application for highest reproducibility across dyeing methods.
  • Improves dispersion stability, prevents agglomeration and filtration on high-density packages — no extra dispersants required.
  • Permits level dyeing under critical conditions and improves in-out levelness on circulating liquor machines.
  • Ensures uniform shade build-up across fibre and surface.
  • Rapid, safe achievement of final shade even in rapid dyeing processes; reduces dye in effluent.

Specifications

  • Chemical constitution: Complex phosphate ester and polyalkylene polyol
  • Ionic nature: Anionic
  • Physical form: Colourless, clear liquid of low viscosity
  • pH: 3.5–5.5
  • Density: About 1
  • General stability: Stable in hard water, acids, alkalis and usual electrolyte amounts.
  • Storage stability: Stable for 1 year in closed containers at 20°C, not affected by heat or cold.
  • Compatibility: Safe with anionic and nonionic substances.

Applications

Readily diluted with cold or warm water into a colourless clear solution. Required amount: 0.5–2.0 g/l, varying with application routine and textile.

Notes

For high-temperature polyester dyeing, 0.5–1.0 g/l is usually enough. Suitable for all polyester HT dyeing methods, including high wind-density packages, tightly woven piece goods and hard-to-level dyes. For rapid heating rates, short liquor ratios and deep shades, use higher amounts as a diffusion accelerant to correct uneven dyeing. When present during dyeing of polyester/cellulosic and polyester/wool blends, the non-polyester component is largely protected against staining by disperse dyes.

Packing

This product is supplied in HDPE drums of 50 kg and 200 kg net.

Storage and Handling
